In Arkansas, a designated caregiver is a person authorized to assist a qualifying patient with the medical use of marijuana, including obtaining medical marijuana from a licensed dispensary on the patient's behalf. To qualify for a designated caregiver registry identification card, the caregiver must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and an Arkansas resident. The qualifying patient must be a minor or be marked as physically disabled on the Physician Written Certification and must have a current medical marijuana card.
